A legitimate description should distinguish the mined asset from the payout asset and explain the conversion. Without those details, a TRX-denominated earnings estimate cannot be checked against the hardware's actual work.
Use a net-result calculation: value of payouts actually received, minus electricity, pool and conversion costs, withdrawal costs and hardware-related expenses. Keep the time period consistent and include the minimum withdrawal threshold. A large nominal reward is of little use if fees or thresholds prevent receipt.
Ask for the following before committing equipment or money:
- The actual coin, mining algorithm and pool connection details.
- How credited work is measured and reported.
- Conversion pricing, charges and payout timing.
- Minimum withdrawal, permitted destination network and account restrictions.
- Whether you retain control of the receiving wallet.
Profitability changes with hardware efficiency, electricity cost, network difficulty and asset prices. A calculator that omits these inputs cannot establish that the arrangement will be profitable.
